FOR BETTER, FOR WORSE (ROADTRIPS INCLUDED)
First Meeting
You had to be there…
How did you meet?
When we were in high school, Tim was having a few people over on a random Friday night, and my friends and I decided to head over to his house. I started telling a story that was hilarious in my mind, but was a "had to be there" kind of thing. Tim was the only one laughing along with me. A couple days later he messaged me on facebook, and the rest was history – we went ice skating a few days later, then I asked him to Girls Choice and he asked me to be his girlfriend that night.
The Proposal
How the worst trip of our lives turned into the best one…
Tell us about the proposal!
We enjoy going on road trips and camping, and the summer of 2018 we decided to take a trip to Mammoth Cave Kentucky. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. It happened to be the hottest weekend of summer, up to 105 degrees, and we accidentally booked a campsite with no electricity. Due to this, we could not have our fans and air conditioning on. There were terrible rain storms, which then led to the cancellation of our cave tours, due to water levels being too high. We decided to leave early from Mammoth Cave to explore Nashville for a couple nights. When we arrived in Nashville, the air conditioning in our car went out. Since it was still 105 degrees out, we decided to call the trip short and head home. We were about halfway home on a very hot car ride when Tim said he wanted to pull over to take a rest. As he pulled off, he drove to an isolated corn field and asked me to go for a walk. Being crabby and hot, I told him I wanted to just keep driving, but he convinced me. We walked into the field, and I turned around to see him on one knee where he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. The hot car wasn't even on my mind for the rest of the trip home.

Advice
Remember it is your day!
Is there anything else you think future couples will find helpful to know about your wedding?
We planned from Illinois, and BABAF was always so accommodating. The number one must-have on our list was that our dog, Rigsby, could be there with us. We were so happy to hear BABAF is dog friendly!
Do you have any advice for future couples?
Do what is going to make the both of you happy, and run with it. Don't let the little things stress you out, just remember the big picture!
